We just got home from a week on the road playing some great colleges dates. Thanks to all the student organizers (you guys rock), and all the fans that came out. We had a great time playing, and hanging out with you all!!

D&E Halloween Show

Just a reminder about the special D&E Halloween show Friday, October 27th @ the fat bean in Naperville, IL!! It feels like forever since we’ve played a D&E show, and we hope to see you all there! D&E officially a trio/ announces new project!

As you may know, we’ve been looking for new band members for the past few months. After much reflection and consideration, we would like to announce The Dog & Everything will remain a trio, with Dan on vocals/guitar, Tommy on drums and Augie on bass. The Dog began as a trio and the shows we’ve played over the past few months have been some of the best and most enjoyable we’ve played in years. We feel the band has gotten back to the very heart of what the D&E is and we don’t want to change that. We are working on material for a forth coming acoustic album and are very excited about the future of the D&E.

Along with this news, we are proud to announce the launch of a brand new project called Last|Fast|Action. Our search for a bass and keyboard player led us to 2 amazing players, and although we felt it didn’t belong in the band The Dog & Everything, playing with these new people has been an inspiring experience. To sum it up, Last Fast Action is a 5 piece outfit featuring vocals, guitar, bass, keyboard, and drums. This new project is the result of much writing and musical growth. Thanks to everyone that caught our little surprise this last weekend. Marshfield, and our sunday double header (naperville, downers grove) were a blast!! We are gonna be back out on the road with quietdrive, motion city soundtrack, and june in the next 2 weeks, check the tour page for more info.

Last nights show w/LBC @ beat kitchen was simply amazing. Thanks to all you crazy kids singing louder than we could strum our guitars.

We have lots of updates so here we go. First off our good friends QUIETDRIVE (web) have a new album called 'When all that's left is you' in stores now. If you don’t have it, you need to go out and buy it. It is totally awesome!! We are huge fans, and you should be too : ).

Summer tour dates are up on the tour page, and a few new pics from our last show (aka "The Brent Show"), are on the foto page. These pics are special cause it was Tommy’s birthday..Ha Ha..

We have been searching for a Bass player with singing ability, and a keyboard player (singing is always a plus). We have auditioned some great people, but the search goes on! If you are interested email us here, or call (630)404-7190.

Thanks for taking a break from The DaVinchi Code Phenomenon to stop by say hi. Welcome to the new site! It is my first, so let me know what you think? We have ALL NEW photo galleries up in the FOTOS section, and new bios up in the MEMBERS section. Many things have been happening in dog land since the last time we had a proper news section. So I added a few band updates bellow that never made it to my blog. It should fill you in on what we have been doing since March.

The last two months have felt like a ton of craziness!! Now that April is over we're gonna be taking some time to tryout new members. If you didn't know we are changing the D&E line up a bit. We're looking for a Keyboard player, and Bass player (augie is gonna be playing guitar).

Our booking agent Matty Matt has been going crazy getting us some great college shows in April. Were gonna be @ the following amazing schools: St. Norbert (WI), Notre Dame (IN), Rhodes College (TN), and Adams State College (CO).

SXSW

We are driving home from South by Southwest (its a music conference that is a big deal). If your cool you call it "South-By". We played 2 showcases. The first was at this club Red 7. We played with limbeck, and I got to see one of my favs 'Mates of State!' The second was with our sweethearts <3 Ludo, and Upside at Lava Lounge. We all had a blast. I also wanted to say thanks to all the kids that came out to the tour dates with Happy Endings, last week!

The D&E are gonna be playing as a trio for the next few weeks. Yep, its gonna be like the old Bandshell days, before Sound Off was out. We have a lot of cool things coming up this month, so dont miss out.
